Obverse

Bust of Jesus Christ, beardless (Emmanuel), with a nimbus around the head, in which a cross is inscribed. He is dressed in a chiton and sindon. In His left hand He holds a Gospel, and with His right hand He blesses sideways. In the field on both sides are inscribed the initials IC - ХР.

Reverse

The tsar in three-quarter length, with a stemma with long pendilia. The ruler is without beard and mustache. He is dressed in a divitision, and the end of the loros is thrown over his left arm. In his right hand he holds a sceptre topped with a cross. Circular inscription: МНХЛ АЛЄ(?).
