Obverse

Variant A. Bust of Jesus Christ with short hair, clean-shaven (Emmanuel), with a nimbus around the head, in which a cross is inscribed. On the shoulders of the figure is depicted one pearl each. Christ is dressed in a chiton and sindon. In His left hand He holds a Gospel, and with His right hand He blesses in front of the chest. In the field on both sides are inscribed the initials NI - XP. Variant B. The image is as in Variant A, but in the field on both sides are inscribed the initials ІС - ХС.

Reverse

Variant A. The tsar in three-quarter stature, with a stemma with long pendilia. The ruler is without beard and mustache. He is dressed in a sakkos, and the end of the loros is thrown over his right arm. In his left hand he holds a sceptre topped with a cross. The inscription consists of scattered letters in the field: А Л З А Д Р. Variant B. The image is as in Variant A, but with a circular inscription: АЗАДР - Ч.
