Obverse
Half-length depiction of Jesus Christ Pantokrator (Almighty) with beard, with a nimbus around the head, in which a cross is inscribed. He is dressed in chiton and sindon. In His left hand He holds an open Gospel, and with His right hand He blesses sideways. In the field on both sides of the head are the initials ІС - ХС. Below the image are two polygonal stars.
Reverse
Variant A. Tsar Konstantin Asen, standing full-length, with stemma with pendilia. The ruler has a rounded beard and mustache. He is dressed in divitision and maniakion. Over his left arm, holding anexikakia, is draped the end of the loros. With his right hand he holds high a sceptre ending with a cross, which is inscribed in a circle. Inscription: К/ОС/ТА/Н/Д - Ϥ/АС/(҂Б)/Н. In the fields at various places are scattered several stars. Variant B. The depiction is as in Variant A, but the inscription lacks the family name АСЪНЬ and the abbreviation of the title цар - Ϥ.
