Obverse
Half-length image of Jesus Christ with beard, with a nimbus around the head, in which a cross is inscribed. He is dressed in a chiton and sindon. In His left hand He holds a Gospel, and with His right hand He blesses before His chest. In the field on both sides of the head are the initials ІС - ХС.
Reverse
The emperor on horseback walking to the right, with a flowing chlamys, with a stemma with pendilia. He is dressed in a sakkos and maniakion. In his right hand he holds a sceptre ending with a double cross, and in his left the reins of the horse. Under the chlamys - a horizontal inscription: КИ(Н)/СТАН/(ДНН). To the right in a semicircle ЧРАСТЪН.
