Obverse

Large cross with arms ending in expansions at the tips. In the fields between the arms are depicted four groups of three dots each, arranged in a triangle.

Reverse

Large monogram ШР (or one of the variants indicated in the table on p. 205) of the family name Шишманъ, composed of the letters Ш and Н and the abbreviation of the title царѫ - Р. Above them the letter М instead of a ligature. The image is within a beaded circle.
