Obverse
Figure of a saint (St. Demetrius?) with a nimbus. The saint is dressed in a chiton. Both hands are placed prayerfully before the chest. Explanatory inscription: Δ Ν . . ?
Reverse
Half-length figure of the ruler with a stemma without pendilia. The despot has a rounded beard and no moustache. He is dressed in a sakkos and maniakion. In His right hand He holds a sword resting on the shoulder, and in His left hand a shield. The loros is draped over both hands of the ruler. In the right field there is an inscription: С В Т.
