Obverse
Half-length image of St. Demetrius with a nimbus around his head. Both His hands are raised in prayer upwards. Explanatory inscription: СВ - ДТ.
Reverse
The ruler, standing, with a stemma with pendilia. The despot has a rounded beard and no moustache. He is dressed in divitision and maniakion. In His right hand He holds a sword resting on the shoulder, and in His left hand a shield. On both sides of the figure there is a circular inscription: Є С - С В.
