Shishman dynasty
Theodora
The youngest of the six children of despot Sratsimir and Petritsa and a sister of tsar Ivan Alexander. Probably the wife of the sebastokrator Dejan, a lord in the south-western Bulgarian lands.
Biography
Theodora was the youngest of the six children of Despot Sratsimir and Keratsa Petritsa and a sister of Tsar Ivan Alexander. The information about her is extremely scant.
She was in all likelihood married to Sevastokrator Dejan — an influential lord in the south-western Bulgarian lands, whose sons (the Dejanović family) later created an independent principality in Macedonia. Through this marriage the Shishman house allied itself with one of the rising boyar dynasties of the age.
