Manuel Asen

Son of Andrey Asen (governor of Lemnos) and an unnamed Asenina. He died young and unmarried around late 1415 – early 1416; an epitaph for him survives.

Biography

Manuel Asen was a son of Andrey Asen (governor of Lemnos) and an unnamed Asenina, born probably between 1395 and 1405. He is mentioned in the correspondence of John Chortasmenos.

Manuel died very young, unmarried, around late 1415 or the very start of 1416. An epitaph for him survives, in which he is named Manuel Asenovich.
