An unnamed sister of Ivan I Asen, Peter and Kaloyan and mother of despot Alexius Slav.
Biography
An unnamed sister of Ivan Asen I, Peter and Kaloyan, who remained unknown to the sources except as the mother of Despot Alexios Slav.
The maternal kinship made Alexios Slav a nephew of the first Asens and a first cousin of Boril and Strez — the very ground on which, after Kaloyan's death, he too laid claim to the Bulgarian crown.
