Biography
Maria Asenina (died 1397) is mentioned in the commemoration book of a Constantinopolitan monastery of the Virgin as the wife of "kyr John." The couple left the monastery three hundred hyperpyra for the annual commemoration of their memory.
The scant evidence does not allow her to be identified; probably she or her husband was related to the foundress of the monastery.
