Obverse
Jesus Christ, standing, in a mandorla formed by a two-part arc inscription, standing on a subpendion decorated with pearls. Around His head is a nimbus containing a cross. He is dressed in a chiton and sindon. With His right hand He blesses sideways, and in His left hand He holds the Gospel before His chest. In the field on both sides of the head, at the level of the nimbus, are the initials ІС - ХС. The inscription reads: МЭНИЭТ ЭЯАЛ (Coin of the king - an attempt to follow the tradition MONETA REGIS...).
Reverse
Inscription in Cyrillic in six lines: ВЪХА / БГАБЛАГО / ВЪРИНКР / АЛЬВЬЛ / КАШНН / НА (In Christ God faithful king Vulkashin).
